SERIES 6 12mm 1,25"

This 12mm Astro-Tech Series 6 is a good quality medium power eyepiece with a substantial 60° field of view at a very economical price. It works well for resolving globular clusters, picking up detail in smaller galaxies, picking up the smaller planetary nebulas against a stellar background, etc. It provides a good match of an 8" f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain’s resolving power to the resolving power of your eye, for exceptional lunar and planetary detail.

Its 8mm eye relief is quite reasonable for this focal length, although it will somewhat limit the field for eyeglass wearers. Since the Astro-Tech field is wider to begin with than most other eyepieces in this range, most eyeglass wearers won’t find the minor vignetting to be a drawback. All in all, this Astro-Tech Series 6 is a sharp, wide field 1.25" eyepiece that most observers will enjoy using for years to come.
